According to one independent security consultant, technology in the consumer goods industries is 20 to 50 years behind the available technology. In 1983, our ROTC detachment went on an outing to Fort Drum. We climbed in tanks, etc. In the tank I saw my first iPad. Admittedly, there was a cord connecting the device to the vehicle. The cord could have been severed earlier.
