No nation condemns their people to the trappings of their own culture more than America.
Less democracy results in more freedom. Most people are wrong most of the time. That is why we have leaders. American freedom is often contrasted with freedom in China or Russia, but if one compares the liberty of citizens to renounce their citizenship, China and Russia are freer than America.
Are Americans freer than two centuries ago? Replication is:

An example of replication is America having less freedom now than just after independence. Both Hitler and Mussolini were democratically elected. The inability to look to one's own affairs before condemning others has reduced American freedom.
An early example of only in my backyard was during the War of Northern Aggression. America made slavery illegal in the Confederacy, but not in America. My second great grandfather was wounded at Spotsylvania so one of his relatives could enjoy his slaves in Buffalo.
Evil is a construct, a fiction to quell the crowd. If evil exists, the best evidence might be crowd mentality. Capitalist democracy is crowd mentality. If you believe in evil, capitalist democracy is evil.
Communist democracy? Economic slavery defines the global economy. As long as we suffer economic slavery, we will not know if communist democracy is better.
Persuading the individual to sacrifice civil liberties for the state requires brainwashing. Schooling funded by government is brainwashing. Private education receives more government money than private. Government subsidised education serves governmental goals.

Many Swiss agree. Despite as direct a democracy as anywhere in the world, government subverts the will of the people because governments exist to serve government, not people. Only anarchy can avoid the initiation of the implementation of force.

Why are women's hormones to be affirmed, but men's hormones to be denied? We are taught to be sympathetic and understanding of women's hormones, menstruation, menopause, etc. In contrast, society tells men to control male hormones, and deny desires. This double standard enables religions and government to dumb down the herd.

Natural selection should cause alphas to pass down more genes and memes to future generations than betas pass down. Instead, monogamy causes humans to pass alpha and beta genes down at the same proportion. This results in proportionately fewer leader genes, and more follower genes. A disproportionately greater percentage of beta memes and genes creates an unnaturally greater proportion of followers, and artificially inhibits the number of leaders. More followers makes societies easier to manipulate with propaganda and patriotism. Resistance to oppression is dumbed down using artificial selection.
If we want better societies, we should grow more of the best, and less of the worst. As with any animal, if human reproduction is manipulated to grow weaker individuals, our societies are weakened by a disproportionately greater number of easily misled followers. Too many easily misled followers results in misdirected societies.

Why is economics unscientific? Rational behaviour is a tenet of economics despite consumers not acting in their best interest. Not acting in ones best interest is not rational. Economics is based on a fallacy. Science based on fallacy is unscientific.
