Who's your pope

Christianity redux

No legacy is so rich as honesty.

About this time of year, 44 years ago, my father enjoyed telling a joke. He did so for several weeks, until the joke was no longer funny. The joke went like this.

Bradley Moore Allen "People often ask me who the new Pope will be. Do you know what I say?"

Unsuspecting human: "No, what do you say?"

BMA: "Italian."

On 16 October 1978 Monday, my father no longer thought that joke funny. St. John Paul II became the first non-Italian Pope in 455 Gregorian years. Ninety-nine percent will read this and say ‘So what?’. They’d be right. Most never understand. One percent do, not the monied. Not the educated. Not the informed. Not the traveled. Etc.

perhaps the wise

To understand, must one be me? Must one have followed The Great Game for more than an iteration? One must be wise.

Information is datum.
Knowledge is information.
Experience is the implementation of knowledge.
Wisdom is the ability to transcend.

Wait patiently. Work like h__l while you're waiting.

Regarding the Bible, his, yours, mine, whichever

It’s a living book.
